Job summary

Horner Recruitment Ltd is partnering with Valiant to recruit a hands-on Operations Manager for its Brisbane operation. You will lead an operational workforce of about 25, including warehouse staff, drivers and delivery crews.

You will take ownership of daily operations, strengthen team morale and establish consistent standards across furniture preparation, dispatch and returns while building capability and accountability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing warehouse operations and leading supervisors or team leaders.
• Strong knowledge of inventory, order accuracy and goods in and goods out.
• Experience developing teams and improving operational performance.
• Confidence using Microsoft 365 and warehouse or inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Providing clear daily direction across receiving, order preparation, dispatch and returns.
• Recruiting, coaching and developing staff to strengthen team capability.
• Building accountability, maintaining morale and addressing performance issues constructively.
• Ensuring furniture is carefully handled, checked and ready for its next booking.
• Overseeing the company's fleet, delivery crews, collections and event bump-ins and bump-outs.
• Planning rosters and resources to meet changing operational demands.
• Managing safety, labour costs, budgets and KPIs while improving workflows.
