Horner Recruitment Ltd, partnering with Valiant, seeks an Operations Manager to lead its Sydney warehouse and logistics operation. You will manage ~43 staff across warehouse, drivers and delivery crews, coordinating receiving, dispatch, returns, rostering and fleet management to meet project demands.

Success relies on practical leadership, strong inventory controls, and clear cross-department communication to drive efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications

Proven warehouse management experience, including leadership through supervisors or team leaders.
Strong inventory control and goods in/out.
Ability to coordinate competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to product presentation and careful handling.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and warehouse/inventory systems.
Excellent communication and commercial awareness.
Forklift licence desirable.

Responsabilités

Lead receiving, order preparation, dispatch and returns.
Coach team leaders and hold teams accountable for quality, safety and performance.
Ensure furniture is checked, protected and presented in pristine condition.
Coordinate fleet, delivery crews, collections and event bump-ins and bump-outs.
Manage rosters and resources around changing project demands.
Monitor budgets, labour costs and operational KPIs.
Improve systems, workflows and communication across departments.
