Job summary

Covetrus is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager in Perth (Malaga) to lead a high-performance warehouse team within a busy distribution centre. You will be responsible for dispatch, receipt and inventory management, ensuring timely and accurate operations while controlling costs.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, APAC, you will drive KPI achievement and staff development. The role requires 5+ years in warehousing leadership, experience in high-volume environments, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics or Business preferred.
• 5+ years senior warehousing experience in a high-volume site.
• Experience in Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Animal Health or Medical Devices is advantageous.
• Proven leadership and coaching of high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a large warehouse team, including recruitment and performance management.
• Develop and enforce safe work practices with proper training.
• Improve processes with Supply Chain Director guidance.
• Coordinate resource planning for distribution, dispatch and delivery to meet service levels.
• Oversee stock counts, security of premises and staff.

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our Perth (Malaga) team on a full time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Supply Chain Director, APAC, you will be responsible for the dispatch, receipt and management of goods within the distribution centre with a focus on timeliness, accuracy, efficiency and cost effectiveness. People leadership will also be a core responsibility, and you will oversee warehouse staff, ensuring they are performing as a high-performance unit to meet KPI’s.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include;

• Leadership and management responsibilities including recruitment, engagement, performance management, and professional development for a large warehouse team.
• Creating, maintaining and guiding safe work practices, ensuring all employees receive appropriate training and comply with safe work practices.
• Developing and maintaining effective and efficient work processes and procedures in conjunction with the Supply Chain Director.
• Optimising resources across the site, including planning and directing the distribution of products and employee workflows to ensure that distribution, despatch and delivery remain consistent with agreed service levels.
• Co-ordination of cycle counts, and stock takes within the distribution centre.
• Ultimate responsibility for security of the premises, inventory and staff members.

About You

To be successful you will have;

• Formal qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics or Business (preferred)
• Demonstrated 5+ years experience in warehousing operations at a senior level within a high-volume warehouse.
• Previous experience within Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Animal Health or Medical Devices.
• Experience leading and coaching high performing teams coupled with a strong desire to create departmental success.
• A working knowledge of import and export regulations and procedures.
• Willingness to chip in and support the achievement of team goals as needed.
• Personal resilience under pressure.
• Advance skills with Warehouse Management and Freight Management Systems
• Intermediate skills in MS Office, MS Excel
• Experience in facilities management and site management
• Previous experience utilising warehouse tracking and operational software packages (Dematic, Voice Pick & RF desirable).
