Job summary

Covetrus, Inc. is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for our Perth (Malaga) distribution centre. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for dispatch, receipt and cost-efficient stock control, reporting to the Supply Chain Director, APAC.

Key focus areas include KPI achievement, process improvements, safety, and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries across the network. This is a full-time/permanent role with leadership responsibility across warehousing operations.

Qualifications

Formal qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics or Business (preferred).
5+ years of senior warehousing experience in a high-volume operation.
Experience in Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Animal Health or Medical Devices.
Proven track record coaching high-performing teams and driving success.
Working knowledge of import/export regulations and procedures.
Proficiency with MS Office and MS Excel.
Experience with warehouse tracking software (Dematic, Voice Pick & RF).

Responsibilities

Lead recruitment, engagement, performance management and development for a large warehouse team.
Develop and guide safe work practices with appropriate training.
Develop and maintain efficient work processes with the Supply Chain Director.
Optimise resources: distribution planning and staff workflows to meet service levels.
Coordinate cycle counts and stock takes within the distribution centre.
Maintain ultimate security for premises, inventory and staff.

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our Perth (Malaga) team on a full time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Supply Chain Director, APAC, you will be responsible for the dispatch, receipt and management of goods within the distribution centre with a focus on timeliness, accuracy, efficiency and cost effectiveness. People leadership will also be a core responsibility, and you will oversee warehouse staff, ensuring they are performing as a high-performance unit to meet KPI’s.

Responsibilities

Leadership and management responsibilities including recruitment, engagement, performance management, and professional development for a large warehouse team.
Creating, maintaining and guiding safe work practices, ensuring all employees receive appropriate training and comply with safe work practices.
Developing and maintaining effective and efficient work processes and procedures in conjunction with the Supply Chain Director.
Optimising resources across the site, including planning and directing the distribution of products and employee workflows to ensure that distribution, despatch and delivery remain consistent with agreed service levels.
Co-ordination of cycle counts, and stock takes within the distribution centre.
Ultimate responsibility for security of the premises, inventory and staff members.

About You

Formal qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics or Business (preferred)
Demonstrated 5+ years experience in warehousing operations at a senior level within a high-volume warehouse.
Previous experience within Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Animal Health or Medical Devices.
Experience leading and coaching high performing teams coupled with a strong desire to create departmental success.
A working knowledge of import and export regulations and procedures.
Willingness to chip in and support the achievement of team goals as needed.
Personal resilience under pressure.
Advance skills with Warehouse Management and Freight Management Systems
Intermediate skills in MS Office, MS Excel
Experience in facilities management and site management
Previous experience utilising warehouse tracking and operational software packages (Dematic, Voice Pick & RF desirable).
