Job summary

Covetrus is seeking an Assistant Financial Analyst to join the APAC Finance team, based in Brisbane (Northgate) or Sydney (Erskine Park). You will contribute to business analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and stakeholder communication.

You will perform KPI reporting, sales variance analysis, and support budgeting processes while maintaining BI tools and reporting systems. Flexible hybrid work options and a supportive team culture are offered.

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within a corporate environment.
• Strong MS Excel and PowerBI skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance or studying towards.

Responsibilities

• Support pricing maintenance and analysis.

The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Financial Analyst with strong analytical skills to join our APAC Finance team on a permanent basis. We are flexible for this role to be based out of Brisbane (Northgate) or Sydney (Erskine Park). Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will have a strong customer focus and play an important role in business analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Your responsibilities will include –

• Provision of accurate and timely customer and supplier reporting.
• Daily reporting of sales versus target to senior management and the wider business.
• Pricing maintenance support and analysis.
• Management of monthly KPI reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Sales variance reporting and maintenance of customer reporting data.
• Provision of assistance with budgets and forecasts.
• Maintenance of BI tools and reporting systems.
• Data support for sales, purchasing and warehouse teams.

About You

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a corporate environment.
• Sound business analysis skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• A driven attitude with a motivation to deliver and progress within the organisation.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance or studying towards.
• Strong MS Excel and PowerBI skills.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated self-motivation and the willingness to learn.
