Job summary

Bidfood Richlands is seeking an enthusiastic Warehouse Manager for the day shift. You will oversee a team, ensure accurate receiving, picking, packing and dispatch while maintaining product integrity and safety standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring heavy lifting, shift coordination, and cost control within budget constraints. You will drive improvements in efficiency and safety across the warehouse operations in South East Queensland.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is essential.
• Proven warehousing and distribution management experience.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Understanding of HACCP, WHS and HR, and ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team and supervise all work activity for receival, replenishment, assembly, loading and delivery.
• Maintain equipment service and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate shift workflow and staff productivity.
• Coach and mentor staff and manage performance as required.
• Control and reduce warehouse expenses by minimising damages, wastage and overtime.
• Liaise with the Operations Manager on labour requirements and process changes.
• Promote safe working procedures and ensure policies are followed.
• Conduct internal audits of Quality and HACCP-based food systems.
• Maintain truck run schedules and despatch truck registers.

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable professional to fill the fulltime role of Warehouse Manager Day shift at our Richlands branch.

About the role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be required to manage a team of people and organise, supervise and control all work activity relating to receival, replenishment, assembly, loading and delivery of products is conducted accurately and product integrity is maintained. This is a physical position with some heavy lifting.

Duties:

• Maintain all equipment service and maintenance schedules
• Coordinate shift workflow & staff productivity
• Coach, mentor and execute performance management as required
• Control and reduce warehouse expenses by minimising damages, wastage and overtime
• Liaise with the Operations Manager regarding labour requirements and work process changes
• Promote safe working procedures and ensure policies are implemented and adhered to
• Conduct internal audits of the Quality and HACCP based food systems
• Maintain truck run schedules and despatched truck registers

Skills and Experience:

• Current Forklift licence (essential)
• Proven experience in warehousing and distribution management and inventory control
• Exceptional time management and communication skills
• Computer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems
• Experience managing rosters and resources within budget constraints
• An understanding of HACCP, WHS and HR
• Able to provide leadership and motivation to a team
