Job summary

A C Whalan & Co is seeking a capable Warehouse Operator in NSW to manage stock and orders efficiently. You will process GRNs, label and locate stock, and maintain accurate inventory in a busy yard environment.

Role requires a current forklift licence and a practical, hands-on approach. You will work as part of a team or independently to ensure safe handling, timely dispatch, and orderly storage of goods.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence is essential.
• Previous warehouse, inventory control or yard experience preferred.
• Good attention to detail and reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Process GRNs and verify stock against purchase orders and delivery papers.
• Label stock and maintain accurate warehouse/yard locations.
• Move stock around the yard and update inventory records.
• Assist with regular stocktakes to maintain accuracy.
• Pick and pack customer orders for dispatch.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound freight to keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and the yard is organised and accessible.
• Identify and report stock discrepancies and damaged goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and check incoming stock against purchase orders and delivery paperwork.

• Label stock and maintain accurate warehouse and yard locations.

• Transfer stock around the yard and update inventory records accordingly.

• Assist with regular stocktakes and maintain inventory accuracy.

• Pick and pack customer orders ready for dispatch.

• Support loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.

• Help coordinate incoming and outgoing freight to keep daily operations running smoothly.

• Ensure stock is stored correctly and the yard remains organised and accessible.

• Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods and inventory issues.

Essential Requirements

• Current forklift licence essential.

• Previous warehouse, inventory control or yard experience preferred.

• Good attention to detail.

• Ability to work safely in a busy warehouse and yard environment.

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Good communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
