Job description

Lead our warehouse, installs and contractors, and grow a team as we grow. Hands-on training from our founder, real ownership and a clear path to leadership.

About the role

This is a newly shaped, hands-on leadership role at the heart of our operation. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day warehouse and equipment function, covering stock, preparation, dispatch, freight, installations and routine service.

You won't be thrown in the deep end on product. You'll be personally trained on the specifics of our equipment range, including all installation and set-up duties, so you can confidently carry out local installations yourself. For interstate and regional jobs we use trusted external installation contractors, and you'll coordinate and supervise them to make sure the job is done right.

As the business grows, we plan to add more warehouse staff, and this role will lead that team. It's a genuine opportunity to build and grow.

Key responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, stock accuracy and regular stocktakes.
  • Prepare equipment for dispatch and coordinate deliveries and freight.
  • Carry out local installations of commercial fitness and wellness equipment personally, once trained.
  • Coordinate, schedule and supervise external contractors for interstate and regional installations and freight.
  • Coordinate routine service and maintenance requests, and provide first‑line technical support.
  • Keep stock, order and fulfilment records accurate in our CRM/inventory system (Tall Emu).
  • Maintain clear operating procedures and safe work practices (WHS) across the warehouse and on site.
  • Work closely with the CEO on priorities, with our founder for technical guidance, and with the sales team on stock and delivery timing.
  • Supervise and develop additional warehouse staff as the team grows.
What success looks like (first 3–6 months)
  • A well‑organised warehouse with reliable stock records.
  • Consistent equipment preparation, dispatch and delivery.
  • Local installations completed confidently and to a high standard.
  • Contractors well coordinated, with clear ownership of freight, installation and service requests.
  • Fewer day‑to‑day operational issues needing founder involvement.
About you
  • Current forklift licence (LF class high risk work licence).
  • Experience in stock handling, including receiving, inventory control and dispatch.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and/or supervising others.
  • Strong organisational skills and the confidence to take ownership and solve practical problems.
  • Comfortable with hands‑on, physical work and using systems to keep records accurate.
  • Clear communicator who works well with sales, leadership, customers and contractors.
Nice to have
  • Electrical and/or mechanical installation and systems experience (strongly preferred), including any relevant trade qualifications or licences.
  • Experience with freight coordination and logistics.
  • Experience with commercial fitness, gym or similar technical equipment.
  • Experience with an inventory or CRM system (Tall Emu a bonus).
What we offer
  • $70,000 – $75,000 + superannuation, depending on experience and technical capability.
  • Hands‑on training from our founder on our full product range and installation work.
  • A clear growth path to lead a warehouse team as we expand.
  • Real ownership and variety across the warehouse, installations, contractors and service.
  • A supportive, Australian‑owned business where your work is seen and valued.
  • A stable, local role based in Cardiff, Newcastle.
