Job summary

COPE Sydney is seeking a reliable Warehouse Dock Hand for a permanent full-time role at their Sydney operations. You will be involved in loading/unloading, sorting, and tracking freight within a busy warehouse environment.

The role requires a current forklift licence and proven high reach forklift experience, with flexibility across shifts and the ability to adapt to COPE’s systems and processes. Prior freight/removals exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• A current and valid forklift licence is required for this role.
• Demonstrated high reach forklift experience in a warehouse environment (essential).
• Experience with freight or removals environments is a plus but not essential.
• Willingness to work across variable shifts and adapt to operational requirements.
• Comfort with handling paperwork and consignment notes.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
• Sorting, handling, and staging freight for dispatch and delivery.
• Scanning freight using COPE’s track and trace system.
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and trolleys.
• Following safety procedures and maintaining efficient workflows.
• Collaborating with team to meet daily operational requirements.

About the role:

We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Warehouse Dock Hand to join our Sydney operations on a permanent full-time basis. This is a hands‑on, operational role supporting the efficient handling, movement, and tracking of freight within our warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
• Sorting, handling, and staging freight for dispatch and delivery
• Scanning freight using COPE’s track and trace system
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and trolleys
• Following safety procedures and operating tools to ensure efficient workflows
• Working collaboratively as part of a team to meet daily operational requirements

What you will bring to this role:

• A strong work ethic and a self‑motivated approach
• A current and valid forklift licence is required for this role

Demonstrated high reach forklift experience in a warehouse environment (essential)

• Flexibility with working hours and operational requirements
• Experience in the freight industry or removals environment is preferred but not essential
• Confidence in adapting to new systems and technology
• Good physical fitness with previous experience in manual or physical labour roles
• Attention to detail, including working with paperwork and consignment notes
