Job summary

COPE Sensitive Freight is seeking a reliable Warehouse Storeperson for our Sydney operations on a permanent full-time basis. This hands-on role supports the efficient handling, movement and tracking of freight within our warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, sorting and staging freight, scanning using our track and trace system, and operating forklifts and related equipment.

Qualifications

• A current and valid forklift licence is required for this role.
• High reach forklift experience in a warehouse environment is essential.
• Flexibility with working hours and operational requirements.
• Experience in freight or removals industry is preferred but not essential.
• Good physical fitness with prior manual or physical labour experience.
• Attention to detail, including paperwork and consignment notes.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Sort, handle, and stage freight for dispatch and delivery.
• Scan freight using COPE’s track and trace system.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure efficient workflows.
• Collaborate with the team to meet daily operational requirements.

About the role:

What you will bring to this role:

• A strong work ethic and a self‑motivated approach
• A current and valid forklift licence is required for this role

Demonstrated high reach forklift experience in a warehouse environment (essential)

• Flexibility with working hours and operational requirements
• Experience in the freight industry or removals environment is preferred but not essential
• Confidence in adapting to new systems and technology
• Good physical fitness with previous experience in manual or physical labour roles
• Attention to detail, including working with paperwork and consignment notes
