Job summary

COPE Sensitive Freight is seeking an experienced operational leader to drive NSW/ACT performance as the business relocates to a purpose-built super site. You will oversee safety, financial performance, service outcomes and people leadership across the region, shaping growth and transformation during a pivotal period.

The role requires a strong track record in transport/logistics leadership, commercial accountability and change leadership, with a focus on safety, compliance and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within transport, logistics or similar operational environment.
• Proven profit & loss management and commercial accountability, ideally at state or multi-site level.
• Proven success leading large teams and developing high-performing leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgets, costs and operational performance.
• Track record of driving change, continuous improvement and business growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence.

Our work involves the safe handling, transport and installation of high-value and specialised equipment across healthcare, IT, print, and other sensitive sectors.

We are seeking an experienced operational leader to move our largest state operation through an exciting period of growth and transformation. With COPE preparing to relocate to a purpose-built super site, this role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of our NSW/ACT operations, drive business performance and lead a large, diverse workforce through a significant change journey.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for safety, operational excellence, financial performance, customer outcomes and people leadership across the NSW and ACT region.

About You

As an experienced operational leader with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to lead teams in a complex, fast-paced environment, you will bring:

• Extensive senior leadership experience within transport, logistics, supply chain or a similar operational environment
• Proven profit and loss management and commercial accountability, ideally at state or multi-site level
• Proven success leading large teams and developing high-performing leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs and operational performance
• A track record of driving change, continuous improvement and business growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across customers, suppliers and internal teams
• A strong commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence
