Job summary

Flowers Across Melbourne is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support daily stock handling and order fulfilment in our Preston workspace. You will unpack, process and receive stock, coordinate with suppliers and couriers, and help keep stock control accurate while reducing waste. No experience required; training provided.

Permanent part-time and casual roles available with flexible hours. You must be physically fit to lift 25kg+ and be a reliable, well-organised team member with basic tech

Warehouse Assistant (Permanent Part-Time & Casual)

Pay: $28.64/hr plus super (permanent part-time) | $34.76/hr incl. casual loading (casual)

With a strong online presence and passionate people, we're growing fast - and we're looking for Warehouse Assistants (permanent part-time and casual) to join our team.

About the Role

No experience needed - training is provided! We're a friendly, supportive team and we'd love to hear from you if you're reliable, physically fit, well organised and keen to learn. Previous experience in delivery driving, retail, supermarkets, pick/packing, factory or other physical roles is helpful but not essential.

Please note: you must be able to regularly lift and move up to 25+ kg boxes & product.

Hours & Pay

We have two openings. Please tell us in your application which option you're interested in.

Option A: Permanent part-time, 17.5 hours/week.

Fixed weekly hours:

• Monday 7:00am-12:00pm

• Tuesday 7:00am-3:00pm

• Thursday 7:00am-12:00pm

Pay: $28.64 per hour, plus Super. Pay rates are above Award and are commensurate with experience.

Option B: Casual, approx. 10-15 hours/week (may be more depending on how busy we are).

Applicants must be available Thursday 7:00am-12:00pm and Friday 7:00am-12:00pm, and also on other days when required (such as Monday and Tuesday).

Flexible casual shifts, with occasional weekend work possible.

Pay: $27.81 per hour plus 25% casual loading ($34.76 per hour). Pay rates are commensurate with experience.

Flexibility outside of the above days is highly regarded, so please detail this in your cover letter for consideration. (Note: in general, our operating hours are 7am-5pm Mon-Fri & 7am-3pm weekends).

About You

What you’ll bring:

• Ability to easily lift heavy buckets and boxes up to 25kg+ daily

• Well organised, with good attention to detail and time management

• A positive, helpful team player

• Comfortable using technology (iPads and Apple devices) and happy to learn our order systems

Bonus points for:

• Knowledge of flowers an advantage but not essential as training will be provided

• Experience with ordering and costing of stock
