Wicka is seeking a Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our small family business in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys busy warehouse environments and takes pride in doing things properly.

You will support daily warehouse operations, supervise parts of the team, and ensure safe, efficient stock handling from loading to deliveries. A forklift licence is essential, and reliable transport is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence – essential.
• Strong forklift competency – essential.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Reliable, dependable and punctual.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Well organised with good attention to detail.
• Physically capable and comfortable in a hands-on warehouse environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
• A practical, positive attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed.
• Own reliable transport is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the daily management and organisation of the warehouse
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
• Loading and unloading containers and deliveries
• Forklift operation and stock movement
• Receiving and checking incoming stock
• Maintaining an organised, clean and safe warehouse
• Assisting with stock control and general warehouse duties
• Working closely with management and other warehouse staff
• Helping supervise and coordinate work when required
