St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne is seeking an experienced Ward Clerk to join our Fitzroy-based team in a permanent, full-time role. You will support patient flow, admissions, transfers and discharges, and act as a central point of contact for enquiries.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, with excellent communication and IT skills, experience with hospital information systems, and a commitment to patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital administration and patient flow support.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to deliver high level customer service to patients and staff.
• Familiarity with hospital information management systems and medical terminology is desirable.

Responsibilities

We’re seeking a motivated and friendly individual for a permanent, full time ward clerk role based in Fitzroy.

Yourstrong clerical experience in addition to your ability to deliver excellent customer service to all hospital staff and patients is critical to this role.

You will be a highly organised and process driven individual. Critical to this role is an attention to detail and efficient time management skills.

You are able to handle the fast pace and multiple demands of this position being able to prioritise tasks appropriately to meet timelines and the flow of the hospital.

Your skills will include:

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Previous hospital and or customer service experience
• Experience with hospital patient information management system and medical terminology is highly desirable
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy
• Friendly and approachable with a commitment to patient-centred care
