St Vincent's Private Hospital Fitzroy is seeking an experienced Ward Clerk to join our busy ward team. This permanent, full-time role supports patient flow, admissions, transfers and discharges, and provides frontline reception for patients, families and staff.

You'll manage records, use the hospital information system and assist the Nurse Unit Manager. We value attention to detail, strong organisation and outstanding customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital settings or healthcare front desk is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.

We’re seeking a motivated and friendly individual for a permanent, full time ward clerk role based in Fitzroy.

Yourstrong clerical experience in addition to your ability to deliver excellent customer service to all hospital staff and patients is critical to this role.

ABOUT YOU:

You will be a highly organised and process driven individual. Critical to this role is an attention to detail and efficient time management skills.

You are able to handle the fast pace and multiple demands of this position being able to prioritise tasks appropriately to meet timelines and the flow of the hospital.

Your skills will include:

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Previous hospital and or customer service experience
• Experience with hospital patient information management system and medical terminology is highly desirable
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy
• Friendly and approachable with a commitment to patient-centred care
