Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking enthusiastic, service-driven casual wait staff to join its front-of-house teams across dynamic event settings in New South Wales, Sydney. Ideal for hospitality professionals who enjoy premium functions including weddings and corporate events.

You will deliver polished, efficient service from setup through to completion, collaborating with experienced hospitality and event teams to enhance guest experiences and venue presentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in waiting, hospitality, functions, or Front of House is advantageous.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Professional, reliable and confident with customers.
• Ability to remain organised and composed during busy events.
• Strong teamwork and willingness to support colleagues.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, public holidays, and events schedules.
• Current Australian RSA certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Applicants must have appropriate Australian working rights where required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive and professional service through out events and functions.
• Welcome guests and assist in creating a positive and memorable dining experience.
• Prepare function rooms, dining areas, tables, and service stations before events.
• Take and process food and beverage orders accurately.
• Serve meals, beverages, and other items according to established service standards.
• Assist with table clearing, resetting, and maintaining venue presentation.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
• Coordinate with chefs, supervisors, event coordinators, and other service staff.
• Support the smooth delivery of weddings, corporate functions, private events, and large-scale occasions.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and personal presentation.
• Follow responsible service of alcohol requirements and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Adapt quickly to changing event requirements and high-volume service periods.
• Contribute positively to a professional and team-oriented workplace.
