Job summary

The Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick, part of NSW Health, is seeking a Midwifery Co-Director to lead the Maternity Division and deliver high‑quality care for women and babies. You will drive innovative models of care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and professional development, while ensuring governance and strategic management.

The role is a temporary full‑time position (38 hours/week) with a salary of AUD 184,618.22– AUD 187,571.52 per year plus superannuation, located at Randwick,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior leadership experience in an acute maternity service with operational management expertise.
• Sound knowledge of contemporary clinical practice and models of care with leadership skills to motivate staff.
• Experience in financial management including cost centre management and staffing profiles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with mediation and negotiation abilities.
• Experience leading teams to develop and implement new models of care and project management.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to the Maternity Division as Midwifery Co-Director.
• Ensure high standards of care for women, babies and families with contemporary models of care.
• Partner with RHW executive for governance, service planning and resource management.
