• A state-of-the-art hospital in northern Sydney provides 488 beds for both public and private patients, featuring Level 5 delineation services and premium maternity facilities. The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking midwifery team within a Level 4 Special Care Nursery environment, equipped with spacious birthing rooms, large birth pools, and the latest K2 monitoring systems. This role offers the unique opportunity to work across the full scope of midwifery—including antenatal, birthing, and postnatal care—supporting a variety of models from continuity of care to private obstetric services.

  Locum Details and Compensation

  This role offers a competitive locum rate up to $54.89 per hour, with the final rate determined by the individual’s years of relevant midwifery experience. Both part-time and full-time permanent positions are available, with the current recruitment phase closing on April 3, 2026. Prospective applicants should note that in late April 2026, the facility will transition into the NSW Health public network, providing a secure pathway into the public health sector and an exciting opportunity to help shape future evidence-based models of care during this clinical evolution.
