Job summary

LDK Seniors Living is seeking a Village Assistant Accountant to support daily financial operations at our Greenway Views village in Canberra. The role reports to the Village Finance Manager and operates Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, within a values-led, staffing-focused environment.

You will assist with monthly management reporting, reconciliations, BAS/GST compliance and resident billing, while supporting accounts payable and supplier queries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Accounting within the retirement village sector experience is preferable but not essential.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (Xero is preferable).
• Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly village management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow statement.
• Assist with preparation of month end reconciliations.
• Assist with BAS/GST Compliance requirements.
• Support preparation and distribution of resident billing for care, hospitality and general services charges; including management of accounts receivable process.
• Assist residents with billing enquiries in a timely and professional manner with the Village Finance Manager supporting more complex queries.
• Assist with Account Payable Function.
• Invoice review, coding and provision to Group Finance for processing.
• Managing external supplier queries within the assigned staff.
• Conduct staff site inductions and maintain induction records.

About Greenway Views

LDK Seniors Living’s flagship village, Greenway Views, is in Greenway, Tuggeranong in Canberra, opposite the South Point shopping centre and walking distance to the Tuggeranong town centre. The village consists of 327 apartments, spread over five buildings that is about half a kilometre long from end-to-end. Greenway Views is home to nearly 400 residents over the age of 65. About the role

Reporting to the Village Finance Manager, the Village Assistant Accountant supports the day-to-day financial operations of the village.

The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday 0830am - 1700pm
