Kennedy Reid Pty in Melbourne is seeking an experienced General Manager – Insurance Broking to lead the Victorian operation within a growing national insurance brokerage. This newly created role focuses on strategic leadership, commercial growth and managing a team of insurance professionals.

You will drive growth, lead corporate client relationships and work with senior leadership to ensure ongoing success across Victoria.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within the General Insurance Broking industry.
• Strong background managing Corporate Insurance clients and complex commercial portfolios.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing broking teams.
• Proven track record of driving significant business growth.
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of the Australian insurance market.
• Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, insurers and corporate clients.
• Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of experienced Insurance Brokers and Account Managers.
• Oversee the management and development of Corporate Insurance portfolios across Victoria.
• Drive business growth through new client acquisition, existing client development and strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, insurers and industry stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and direction to the broader Victorian broking team.
• Identify opportunities to improve business performance, client service and operational efficiency.
• Support the professional development and performance of direct reports.
• Work collaboratively with senior leadership to implement business strategies and achieve growth objectives.
