Job summary

RSL Queensland is seeking a Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre Manager to lead the Centre’s daily operations and ensure veterans and their families receive coordinated, high-quality support. You’ll report to the Head of VFWC Operations, lead the local team, and collaborate with internal teams, service providers and partners to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Five or more years’ experience leading teams and managing service delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Experience managing competing priorities in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated operational, project and problem-solving capability.
• Strong written, verbal and reporting skills.
• Experience in community services, customer-focused support or centre management is highly regarded.
• Current open Australian driver licence.
• Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one.

About the role:

As the Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre Manager, you’ll lead the Centre’s daily operations and ensure veterans, their families and the wider Defence community receive coordinated, high-quality support.

Reporting to the Head of VFWC Operations, you’ll lead the local team and work closely with internal teams, service providers and community partners.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and develop the Centre team

You’re an experienced, approachable leader who can balance operational priorities with empathy and care. You build trusted relationships, communicate confidently and create a positive environment where your team can deliver meaningful outcomes.
