Job summary

University of Sydney on the Camden Campus, within the Sydney School of Veterinary Science, invites applications for a continuing technical professional role in the pathology laboratory of UVTHC. The position supports clinical staff, researchers and students while delivering clinical pathology and microbiology services.

The role offers a base salary of AU$116,507–AU$125,602 plus 17% superannuation, with flexible/hybrid work arrangements where applicable and comprehensive staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant laboratory qualification.
• Demonstrated clinical pathology skills in haematology/biochemistry or microbiology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of accreditation systems (NATA) is desirable.
• Strong computer skills for data storage, reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical professional support to clinical staff, researchers and students in the pathology laboratory.
• Undertake routine clinical pathology and microbiology assays across animal species.
• Assist with data storage, extraction and reporting of results.
• Support clinical teaching activities at UVTHC and Camden Campus.
