The University of Sydney invites applications for a Full-time Technical Officer based at the Camden Campus, Sydney School of Veterinary Science. You will support clinical staff, researchers and students in the pathology laboratory, performing routine diagnostic pathology and microbiology assays while contributing to teaching activities.

Requires a relevant laboratory qualification and strong data handling skills; work both independently and in a team with attention to accreditation and quality

Qualifications

  • Qualified in a laboratory discipline relevant to pathology and/or microbiology.
  • Demonstrated skills in veterinary/human diagnostic pathology or microbiology.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and use sound judgement.

Responsabilités

  • Provide technical support to clinical staff, researchers and students in the pathology lab.
  • Perform routine clinical pathology and microbiology assays across animal species.
  • Assist in teaching activities and ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
