Job summary

Singleton & Branxton Veterinary Hospitals is seeking a full-time Veterinary Nurse to join a busy mixed animal practice in the Hunter Valley. Immediate start for a passionate nurse who enjoys hands-on nursing, high-quality patient care, and a collaborative team environment.

The role covers surgery, hospital care, pathology, treatment and reception, with responsibilities including IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, lab sample processing and client support.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is required.
• Minimum 1 year of veterinary nursing experience is required.
• Strong anaesthetic monitoring and patient care skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork are important for client service.

Responsibilities

• Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring.
• Patient admissions, treatment and discharge care.
• Placement of IV catheters and fluid therapy setup.
• Collection and processing of laboratory samples.
• Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients.
• Assisting veterinarians with consultations and procedures.

Singleton & Branxton Veterinary Hospitals are seeking a full-time veterinary nurse to join our growing team, for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate nurse who enjoys hands‑on nursing, high-quality patient care, and working in a busy mixed animal practice.

About the Role

This is a true nursing role where you will be actively involved in all aspects of patient care across surgery, hospital, pathology, treatment and reception.

Your responsibilities will include:

• A proactive attitude and willingness to continue learning
• EzyVet, IDEXX labs and IM3 dental equipment experience highly regarded
