Job summary

Singleton & Branxton Veterinary Hospitals in the Hunter Valley is seeking a qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our busy mixed practice. You will be involved in hands-on nursing, high-quality patient care and will contribute across surgery, hospital, pathology, treatment and reception.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is required.
• Minimum 1 year of veterinary nursing experience.
• Strong anaesthetic monitoring and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for animal care and client service.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to continue learning.
• EzyVet, IDEXX labs and IM3 dental equipment experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring.
• Patient admissions, treatment and discharge care.
• Placement of IV catheters and fluid therapy setup.
• Collection and processing of laboratory samples.
• Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients.

Singleton & Branxton Veterinary Hospitals are seeking a full-time veterinary nurse to join our growing team, for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate nurse who enjoys hands‑on nursing, high-quality patient care, and working in a busy mixed animal practice.

About the Role

This is a true nursing role where you will be actively involved in all aspects of patient care across surgery, hospital, pathology, treatment and reception.
