A trusted veterinary practice in Sydney is seeking a full-time Veterinary Nurse to join their collaborative team. Job description

Baulkham Hills Veterinary Hospital is a trusted companion animal practice in Sydney’s northwest, offering a diverse caseload of dogs, cats, small exotics, birds and wildlife.

This permanent full‑time nursing position (primarily Monday–Friday, with limited weekend shifts) is part of a collaborative team of six veterinarians and ten support staff led by Lindsay Hay (Lead Veterinarian) and Lyn Shephard (Practice Manager). The role provides an opportunity to build a rewarding, long‑term career in a friendly, professional environment.

The Role

You’ll be hands‑on across the full scope of veterinary nursing, including:

  • High‑level nursing and surgical support
  • Venipuncture and catheter placement
  • Anaesthetic and surgical monitoring
  • Dentistry and advanced medical procedures
  • Reception and general clinic duties as required
  • IDEXX lab, running bloods in‑house

Advanced nursing skills are essential due to the strong surgical and medical caseload.

About You
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is preferred, not essential (or equivalent recognised in Australia)
  • Proven experience working as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Confident working independently and within a team
  • Passion for learning, growth and delivering exceptional patient care
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
