Baulkham Hills Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our well-established, collaborative team in Sydney's northwest. The role covers the full scope of veterinary nursing with a diverse caseload, offering career growth and leadership opportunities as you develop within the team.

The position involves high-level nursing, surgical support, anaesthetic monitoring, dentistry, and in-house blood work, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a Veterinary Nurse.
• Interest in developing leadership skills within a team.

Responsibilities

Full-Time Senior Veterinary Nurse | Baulkham Hills Veterinary Hospital

Baulkham Hills Veterinary Hospital has been a trusted part of the Hills District community for over 50 years. Located in Sydney’s northwest, we are a well-established companion animal practice with a diverse and interesting caseload including dogs, cats, small exotics, birds and wildlife.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity, primarily Monday to Friday, with limited weekend shifts. You’ll be joining a highly collaborative and supportive team of 6 veterinarians and 10 dedicated support team members. This role offers the opportunity to build a rewarding, long-term nursing career in a friendly, professional environment with loyal and appreciative clients. For the right person, there is also scope to take on greater responsibility and develop your leadership skills as you grow within the team.

The Role

You’ll be hands-on across the full scope of veterinary nursing, including:

• High-level nursing and surgical support
• Venipuncture and catheter placement
• Anaesthetic and surgical monitoring
• Dentistry and advanced medical procedures
• Reception and general clinic duties as required
• IDEXX lab, running bloods in-house

Due to our strong surgical and medical caseload, experience with advanced nursing skills is desirable.

About You

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is preferred, not essential (or equivalent, recognised in Australia)
• Proven experience working as a Veterinary Nurse
• Interested in career development and exploring leadership pathways
• Confident working independently and within a team
• Passionate about learning, professional growth and delivering exceptional patient care
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A willingness to contribute to a positive team culture and support those around you
