Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment notes and stock control.
  • Provide guidance to clients on animal care, health, hygiene, and general wellbeing.
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, including safely restraining animals.
  • Clean and sterilise examination areas, surgical instruments, and equipment in line with hygiene standards.
  • Prepare surgical instruments and support veterinarians during procedures.
  • Assist with the administration of anaesthesia and oxygen during surgical operations.
  • Monitor animals during post-operative recovery, including observing vital signs and overall condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Perform administrative duties such as reception, appointment scheduling, and payment processing.

Veterinary Emergency Care Australia (VECA) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about animal care and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.

As a 24/7 clinic, our team covers a wide range of shifts, but we pride ourselves on flexible scheduling and working with you to create a schedule that fits your life.

Duties:
