WellPet Vets in Regentville, NSW, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse for full-time or part-time roles in our busy 24-hour emergency hospital. Afternoon and weekend shifts are required, with a supportive team of over 60 vets and nurses dedicated to high-quality patient care.

You will provide medical care, client communication, and reception duties while mentoring junior staff. RxWorks/Vet Check experience is desirable but not essential, and the hospital offers a generous hourly rate with

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' veterinary nursing experience.
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• Strong client communication and phone skills.
• Interest in mentoring junior nurses.
• Willing to work afternoon/evening shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care and outcomes for patients and clients.
• Communicate with clients face-to-face and by phone on a regular basis.
• Reception and invoicing, data entry and record keeping tasks.
• Provide medical care and treatments to patients.
• Perform basic diagnostic testing.
• Assist veterinarians in hospital and surgical patient care.
• Work as a team across Hospital, Reception, Surgery and Ward.

Experienced Full-time or Part-time Vet Nurse required

A fantastic opportunity exists for a passionate and experienced Veterinary Nurse looking to develop their career. You will work regular afternoon and weekend hospital shifts in a busy 24-hour emergency hospital located in Regentville, NSW. WellPet Vets has a team of over 60 vets and nurses working within a dynamic and well-equipped hospital environment committed to providing the very highest level of care to patients and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Management of patient care and ensuring best possible outcomes for patients and clients
• Communicating with clients on a regular basis both face to face and over the phone
• Reception and administration duties including invoicing, data entry and record keeping
• Providing medical care and treatments to patients
• Performing basic diagnostic testing
• Assisting veterinarians in care and management of hospital and surgical patients
• Working as a team and sharing roles on Hospital, Reception, Surgery and Ward when required

About you

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar experienced veterinary nursing role
• Hold a Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent experience
• Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
• Excellent phone manner and customer service and communication skills
• Committed to high standards of patient care
• Interest in training and mentoring junior veterinary nurses
• Experience using RxWorks (desired but not essential)
• Experience using Vet Check (desired but not essential)
• Open to regular feedback and eager for continual self-improvement
• Willing to work regular afternoon and evening shifts during the week and on weekends
