Job summary

Parkville College within the Department of Education Victoria is seeking a Classroom Teacher VET Building & Construction. The role focuses on planning, preparing and delivering programs aligned to the Victorian Curriculum for students aged 10-21 in custody or secure settings.

You may work across multiple units and undertake outreach to support student learning. The successful candidate will have expertise in literacy/numeracy integration, high-impact teaching strategies and strong data-informed

Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy integration.
Experience using data to inform teaching and monitor student growth.
Ability to monitor and assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, families and staff.
Commitment to professional learning and reflective practice.

Responsibilities

Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation within the school.
Undertake other classroom teaching and organisational duties as required by the Principal.
Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
Supervise and mentor student teachers as appropriate.
