Job summary

Coastal Hire is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Fitter for our Taree team. The role offers a permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm, with regular daytime hours and no weekend work.

You'll service and repair a wide range of hire equipment and vehicles, diagnose faults, and conduct preventative maintenance to keep the fleet safe and ready for hire. A trade qualification is highly regarded, and licenses such as MR, White Card and EWP ticket are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience with a range of hire equipment and machinery.
• Ability to diagnose faults and service equipment.
• Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or related field is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing a broad range of hire equipment and company vehicles.
• Fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance and pre/post-hire inspections.
