Job summary

Encore is a global event technologies company seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Venues in Australia to lead profitability benchmarks across venue units. You will establish labour efficiency reporting, drive improvements, and coordinate with L&D and Technology teams on projects and budgeting.

You will engage multiple stakeholders, manage labour planning, and support tendering with accurate data. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar operations role within events or venues.
• Background in production is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building.
• Strong time management and ability to manage competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor labour efficiency reporting within each venue unit.
• Recommend operational changes to improve labour planning and allocation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of procedures.
• Monitor billing codes and systems compliance across Encore venues.
• Coordinate with L&D to deliver consistent training and reporting.
• Contribute to tendering with sales and labour resource data.
• Maintain reports of operational inspections for contracted venues.
• Provide data to help set annual venue budgets.
• Make capital expenditure recommendations to the Technology Team.
• Collaborate with Technology on installation projects and venue upgrades.
