Job summary

Canada Bay Club is seeking a Full-Time Venue Manager (Duty Manager) to lead daily club operations and drive exceptional member and guest experiences at our Five Dock sites in New South Wales. You will work within a collaborative team focused on strong customer service and compliant operations.

The role requires leadership, 2–3 years in a duty manager position (club experience preferred), and necessary RSA/RCG qualifications.

Qualifications

• Tertiary hospitality management qualification or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years in a Duty Manager role, ideally in a Club environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• RSA/RCG with Advanced RCG qualifications.
• Australian National Police Check.
• TAB Compliance, Senior First Aid & Food Safety Supervisor certificates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day club operations.
• Ensure compliance with the Registered Clubs Act, Liquor Act, WHS Act, AML/CTF & RSA/RCG legislation.
• Fulfil Responsible Gaming Officer responsibilities with harm minimisation.
• Lead, coach and appraise staff in line with policy and procedures.
• Champion our culture and contribute to meetings.

Job description

We are seeking applications from motivated hospitality management professionals to fill a Full-Time Venue Manager (Duty Manager) role at Canada Bay Club. The ideal candidate is someone who is a real team player with a passion for developing and maintaining relationships. This is a key role that is more than just a Venue Manager position, it is an opportunity to be part of a collaborative team that is focused on delivering superior customer experiences to our members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Day to day co-ordination and oversight of Club Operations
• Ensuring compliance in line with the Registered Clubs Act, Liquor Act, WHS Act, AML/CTF & RSA/RCG Legislation obligations
• Responsible Gaming Officer (RGO) responsibilities with strong focus on harm minimisation
• Staff performance management, coaching and appraisals in line with Team Handbook, Club policy & procedure
• Champion our culture
• Attendance and contribution to Venue Manager team meetings

About you

• Tertiary Hospitality Management qualifications (or equivalent proven experience)
• Minimum of 2-3 years in a Duty Manager role (ideally in a Club environment)
• Leadership qualities, ability to inspire, motivate and develop the team
• Ability to assess, make quick decisions and delegate in an environment with conflicting prioritiesli>
• Driven to meet set KPI's
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships
• RSA/RCG + Advanced RCG qualifications are essential
• Australian National Police Check
• TAB Compliance, Senior First Aid & Food Safety Supervisor certificates
