Job summary

Ford Australia is seeking a Feature Software Test Planner to lead test planning, resource strategy, and cross‑functional delivery for global vehicle programs. You will manage test plans, external teams, and OTA software updates across milestones.

Based at YYPG, Little River with a 4‑day-from-office arrangement, you will mentor a team of feature testers, coordinate vendors, and uphold safety and engineering excellence through DV testing and data validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3-5+ years in automotive systems engineering, software testing, or product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead test planning, resource strategy, and scheduling for vehicle programs.
• Coordinate test plans with external service providers and GPDS milestones.
• Oversee vehicle preparation and software baselines for feature validation.
• Maintain weekly program status reports and recovery plans.
• SPOC for Test Planning in PAT forums and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor Feature Testers and manage external engineering workforce.
• Partner with vendors to manage labor requirements and continuity.
• Promote safe, high-performing culture within the team.
• Oversee DV regression testing for running changes and OTA updates.
• Plan data acquisition and validation to troubleshoot production issues.
• Ensure global testing standards and reporting formats are followed.
• Drive root-cause analysis using FMA tools and structured problem solving.
