Job summary

Ford Australia is seeking a Feature Software Test Planner to lead the testing of software features for major vehicle programs. You will consolidate test plans, allocate resources, and coordinate cross-functional teams across global platforms from its Little River site.

The role requires 3–5+ years in automotive software testing, a technical degree, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive engineering excellence and OTA updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 3–5+ years in automotive software testing or engineering.
• Experience with test planning and project coordination is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, consolidate, and schedule detailed feature test plans.
• Coordinate resources including vehicles, labs, tools, and staff.
• Oversee preparation of test vehicles with latest software/hardware baselines.
• Track program status weekly and report progress against plan.
• Lead cross-functional discussions and act as SPOC in PAT forums.
• Mentor feature testers and manage external engineering resources.
• Manage vendor/agency staffing to avoid operational disruption.
• Promote a safe, collaborative, high-performing team environment.
• Plan DV regression tests for running changes and OTA updates.
• Coordinate data acquisition and validation for issue resolution.
• Ensure global testing standards and reporting consistency.
• Perform root cause analysis using FMA tools.
