Job summary

Chairo Christian School is seeking a VCE Physics & Maths Teacher and Faculty Coordinator for our Drouin campus, commencing January 2027. This is a part-time ongoing position (0.6–0.8 FTE) in Senior School (Years 9-12).

The role requires delivering curriculum within a Christian worldview and aligning with school policies. The successful candidate will foster a caring learning environment, assess student progress, and build strong relationships with students, parents and staff while potentially

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in education and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
Commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith.
Experience teaching Physics and/or Maths at a VCE level is desirable.
Ability to teach from a Christian worldview and use diverse teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

Deliver curriculum in line with school policies and Christian worldview.
Foster a safe, caring environment and model Christ’s love to students.
Maintain a positive learning environment with high expectations and supportive feedback.
Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Plan daily activities to meet educational objectives and engage parents in learning.
