Job summary

Loreto Toorak invites applications from a qualified English educator for a full-time, ongoing position commencing in Term 1, 2027. The role includes teaching VCE English and English across other year levels, reporting to the Head of Faculty.

Qualifications

Current Teaching Registration (Victorian Institute of Teaching) essential.
Demonstrated experience teaching VCE English essential.
Experience teaching Literature and/or Religious Education highly desirable.
Understanding and appreciation of student learning strategies and styles.
Excellent communication skills to a range of audiences.
Collaborative approach with colleagues in planning and delivering curriculum.
Proven experience in establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

Teach VCE English, with English classes across other year levels.
Report to the Head of Faculty.
Foster intellectual curiosity and inspire students to explore language and literature with confidence and critical insight.
