Job summary

ForHealth is recruiting a Registered Nurse for our Urgent Care Service across Australia. You will triage patients, provide front line nursing care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold current AHPRA registration, are available for evenings and weekends, and have 3+ years in ED/triage/ICU settings. Working with Children's and Police checks may be required, with a focus on patient-centered care and safety.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Availability for evenings and weekends.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Department, triage, ICU/CCU or rural/remote nursing.
• Experience in triage with ED preferred.
• Working with Children’s check and Police checks as required.
• Minimum 3 years as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Be first point of contact for urgent care patients; triage with accuracy, empathy, and confidence.
• Conduct thorough nursing triage and prioritize care for best outcomes.
• Identify emergencies or deterioration and escalate promptly.
• Provide hands-on care including suturing and plastering where appropriate.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with patients, families, carers and practitioners for patient-centered care.
• Educate patients to support wellbeing and healthy outcomes.
• Support safety initiatives and a positive, compliant work environment.
