Job summary

City of Canada Bay Council seeks a dynamic Tree Services Coordinator to join the Open Space team and help manage the City’s urban forest. You will lead the Tree Services Team, oversee council-owned trees, and provide expert guidance on urban forest management in collaboration with the Urban Forest & Ecology Team.

Responsibilities include processing DA, RDA and TRA applications, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and council policies, and coordinating contractors for budget-conscious

Responsibilities

• Manage and Maintain: Council-owned trees, ensuring they meet relevant standards and strategic goals using our tree management program (Forestree) and Record Management System (TechOne)
• Provide Expert Advice: Offer technical guidance to the community, stakeholders, and the Urban Forest & Ecology Team on all things Urban Forest management.
• Coordinate Resources: Lead the Tree Services Team, including contractors, to ensure efficient and budget-compliant tree maintenance.
• Ensure Compliance: Process development applications (DAs), road driveway applications (RDAs) and Tree Pruning & Removal Applications (TRAs) in line with statutory requirements and City policies.
