Job summary

The City of Sydney is seeking a Project Manager - Tree Planting to lead our street, park and property tree planting programs within the Urban Forest Management team. You will apply best-practice asset and contract management, collecting and analysing data, and providing expert technical advice to stakeholders.

Qualifications include AQF Level 5 Diploma in Arboriculture (or equivalent), experience in tree planting operations and a current class C NSW driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• AQF Level 5 Diploma in Arboriculture (or equivalent industry experience with minimum AQF Level 4 horticultural or landscape design qualification)
• Understanding of young tree assessment and planting operations
• Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and work in a team
• Current class C NSW driver’s licence

Responsibilities

• Manage street, park and property tree planting programs to industry standards
• Collect and analyse data related to tree planting and urban forest management
• Provide expert technical advice to a range of stakeholders
• Contribute to City’s tree management and urban forest policies
