Job summary

City of Sydney is seeking a Project Manager - Tree Planting to join our Urban Forest Management team, with extensive training and support for this unique role. The role will manage street, park and property tree planting programs to best practice standards and deliver canopy goals under Sustainable Sydney 2030-2050.

You will collect and analyse data, provide expert technical advice to a range of stakeholders and contribute to tree management policies while working as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Arboriculture or equivalent industry experience with AQF Level 4+ in horticulture/landscape design.
• Understanding of young tree assessment, planting operations and programs, and contract management.
• Proven track record meeting deadlines and balancing priorities in a team.
• Current NSW Class C driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage street, park and property tree planting programs to best practice standards.
• Collect and analyse data and provide expert technical advice to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the City’s tree management and urban forest policies.
• Work effectively as part of the Urban Forest Management team.
