Job summary

BHP's Copper SA Operations at Olympic Dam is seeking a Miner Stope Blaster to join the Underground Production Team. You will perform stope blasting activities safely and efficiently to meet departmental targets while working on a 7:7 day/night roster at Olympic Dam.

Key duties include drilling and blasting support, hole charging, pre- and post-blast checks, and providing coverage across related roles. The role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement in a remote South

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years working in an underground hard rock environment.
• Be able to work with limited supervision and manage time effectively.
• Provide or be able to obtain Police Clearance and Blasters License.
• Previous experience working with explosives is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Supporting safe and productive Drill and Blast activities.
• Preparation and charging of production blast holes.
• Pre and post blast checks of production firings.
• Supporting operational requirements through relief coverage in other positions including but not limited to operating ITs, loaders, production drill rigs and magazine keeping.
• Contributing continuous improvement initiatives.
