Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Underground Blasting Operator to base in Parkes, NSW. This role involves charging development headings, transporting and storing explosives, and strictly following blasting and evacuation procedures on site.

You will prepare blast holes to minimise misfires and must prioritise safety for yourself and the crew. A 7/7 roster is required, with reporting to the Underground Mining Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Based in Parkes or willing to relocate.
• 12 months’ underground mining experience or equivalent.
• Hold Blasting Explosives User Licence and Working At Heights Ticket.
• Must have security clearance to handle explosives and a valid C-class licence.

Responsibilities

• Charge development and production headings.
• Handle, transport, and store explosives safely and efficiently.
• Follow site blasting and evacuation procedures.
• Prepare blast holes to reduce misfires.
• Prioritize safety for yourself and your crew.
• Uphold Jobtailor values each shift.
• Report to Underground Mining Supervisor.
