Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is a global mining services company offering a USA operation in Elko, Nevada. We seek an experienced Shift Supervisor to lead underground teams on a 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off roster, collaborating with skilled professionals to deliver safe, productive results.

The role requires at least 5 years in underground supervision, a current Underground Shift Supervisors Ticket, leadership ability, and a valid driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Underground Shift Supervisors role.
• Have a current Underground Shift Supervisors Ticket.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Current Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of shift workers and equipment usage at an underground mine site.
• Ensure all workers on shift are trained and competent to perform their duties safely and productively at all times.
• Train National Supervisors and workforce to a high standard.
• Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner and safety issues are reported to the Underground Manager.
• Ensure targets are met.
• Perform daily management, control, and supervision of the working areas in accordance with relevant Acts and Regulations.
• Oversee duty of care to all employees, sub-contractors, and visitors.
• Organise crews, rosters and day-to-day running of the site.
• Conduct daily work planning meetings/ toolbox meetings.
• Submit incident reports to the Site Manager.
• Carry out crew training, assessments and review development, mentoring and performance.
