Job summary

Barminco invites Applications for an Experienced Underground Auto Electrician to join our US Operations on a 7 days on / 7 days off residential roster near Elko, Nevada. You will mentor local staff, ensure safe servicing of mobile underground equipment, and optimize uptime while maintaining high safety standards.

Applicants should have at least 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in underground mining, knowledge of Sandvik UG drills/loads, Caterpillar loaders, and remote control systems (RCT

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in underground mining on large mobile equipment.
• Proven ability to train less qualified tradespeople to a high standard in a high-productivity underground contracting mining environment.
• International Driver’s License and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing to mobile equipment safely and in accordance with procedures.
• Utilise skill to minimise downtime on machinery.
• Record and report maintenance accurately.
• Maintain workshop and working area housekeeping; keep parts stock at minimum levels.
• Read and interpret service and spare parts manuals.
• Work with Maintenance Foreman to schedule equipment faults into the workshop.
