Job summary

Liontown Limited is seeking 2 x Experienced Project Geologists to join our Kathleen Valley operation. The roles focus on planning and executing underground diamond drilling, developing grade control and structural models, and delivering cross-functional technical projects within a mining environment.

These full-time roles are based at Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, offering a challenging career path in a technically rich, low-waste underground setting with

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or Earth Sciences.
• Underground production/project geology experience.
• Underground drill design, core logging and QA/QC.
• Proficiency in Datamine StudioGEO and AcQuire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to mentor juniors.
• Valid manual Australian driver's license.
• Ability to obtain National Police Clearance and medical/D&A clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare drill requests with peer and cross-functional review.
• Contribute to drill scheduling with geology leadership and mine planning.
• Analyse drilling progress to identify drivers of performance and issues.
• Identify and drive initiatives to improve drilling performance.
• Manage drilling administration, including PLODs and daily compliance.
• Undertake geological and structural core logging and mentor juniors.
• Validate drilling data for accuracy to support modelling.
• Provide database support and enforce data QA/QC standards.
• Undertake geological/structural interpretation through wireframing and modelling.
• Support geometallurgical test work and integrate results into models.
• Drive continuous improvement and development of standard work processes.
