Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Production Engineer for its Sunrise Dam Underground team. The role follows an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie, reporting to the Senior Specialist Production Engineering.

You will coordinate short-term production activities, design drill & blast plans, and liaise with underground managers to achieve targets. A Mining Engineering degree and 2+ years underground mining experience are required, with Deswik experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in drill & blast design and monitoring, preferably in a Mining Alliance environment.
• 2+ years of underground mining experience.
• Proficiency with Deswik; Deswik Proficiency preferred.
• Good understanding of underground mining and stope design.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Permanent Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance with SHE&C plans and procedures.
• Deliver drill and blast designs aligned with Short Term Plans.
• Coordinate blast preparation and charge plans.
• Engage with operators to communicate plans and escalate challenges.
• Perform QA/QC in-field engagement.
• Drive continuous improvements through reconciliation of drill & blast performance.
• Collaborate with production foreman to drive efficiencies in the production cycle.
