Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia seeks a Production Engineer for the Sunrise Dam Underground team. FIFO from Perth/Kalgoorlie; reports to the Senior Specialist Production Engineering. Role is focused on coordinating short-term production to meet targets for stope ore movement and drilling.

You will design drill and blast plans, ensure safety and QA/QC, and drive continuous improvements. A mining engineering degree and 2+ years underground experience are required.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in drill & blast design and monitoring in mining environments.
• 2+ years underground mining experience.
• Competent in Deswik, Vulcan or Datamine; Deswik proficiency preferred.
• A good understanding of underground operations and stope design.
• Inclusive interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Effective time management, decision making and report writing.
• Permanent Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to safety and align with company policies and procedures.
• Deliver compliance with SHE&C plans for drill and blast teams.
• Design and plan production drill and blast activities.
• Coordinate blast preparation and charge plans.
• Engage with drill operators to communicate plans and issues.
• Perform QA/QC in-field and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production foreman to improve efficiency.
