Job summary

Talent is seeking an experienced Underground Production Engineer to join a well-established underground hard-rock mining operation in Western Australia. You will develop production designs, coordinate underground activities and drive drill and blast performance while maintaining high safety standards.

Key responsibilities include designing underground plans, monitoring stope performance, and collaborating with Geology, Geotechnical, Survey and Planning teams to optimise safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant mining industry experience.
• Experience in mechanised underground hard-rock mining.
• Proficiency in Deswik CAD and UGDB.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Current WA C Class driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare underground production designs, drill plans, charge plans and operating instructions.
• Monitor stope performance and complete production reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Geology, Geotechnical, Survey and Planning teams.
• Identify operational improvements to optimise safety and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with mining safety procedures and regulations.
