Job summary

Northern Star Resources is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer for its KCGM Fimiston Underground Operations in Western Australia. This residential role operates on an 8/6 roster and requires expertise in mine design software and underground planning.

Ideal candidates will possess Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering and relevant mining experience. They will contribute to mine planning, collaborate with various teams, and uphold safety standards in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with mine design software, preferably Deswik CAD.
• Underground production and planning experience in mechanised hard-rock mines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce clear mine instructions for development plans.
• Collaborate with the geology team for design validation.
• Manage underground contractors and assist with project work.
• Participate in safety and compliance meetings.

Education

Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering
